Dr. Saeed Payvar is an Interventional Cardiologist, and is board certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology and Internal Medicine. He is active in all aspects of vascular medicine and is board certified by the American Board of Vascular Medicine in Vascular Medicine and Endovascular Medicine. Dr. Payvar is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. He provides diagnostic evaluation in vascular medicine and is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation.
Dr. Payvar attended medical school at Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran. His post-graduate work was performed at the University of Texas in Houston, for which he received a Master of Science degree in Public Health and Biostatistics. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He then completed fellowships in Cardiology at the University of Florida in Jacksonville and in Interventional Cardiology at the East Carolina University in Greenville, NC.
Dr. Payvar’s clinical expertise extends from the performance of complex coronary interventions to endovascular treatment of peripheral and carotid artery disease and venous disease. He also provides care to patients with heart and vascular disease.
When he is not at work or spending time with his family, he enjoys biking, cooking and classical music.
